How SpyIt works

SpyIt is a browser-based lookup tool. You supply an Instagram username, the viewer resolves what is available for that account, and the result is rendered back to you. Nothing is installed and you never sign in with your own account.

1. The lookup request

When you submit a handle, SpyIt normalises it (lowercase, no @, no trailing spaces) and queries for that profile. Handles that do not exist, or that were renamed, return an empty result rather than an error page.

2. What a result can contain

• Profile display name and username
• Profile photo in full resolution where available
• Bio text and any external link on the account
• Follower, following and post counts
• Whether the account is marked private or verified

3. Why nothing is installed

Tools that push an APK, browser extension or "human verification" survey are almost always monetising the download rather than the lookup. SpyIt runs as a plain web page, which is why it works identically on iPhone, Android and desktop.

4. Responsible use

Use SpyIt for legitimate reasons — verifying a business account, checking whether a profile impersonating you exists, or confirming an account before you follow it. Do not use any viewer to harass, stalk or intimidate a person. SpyIt is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
